I photographed a wedding in India. I blacked out in Vegas (twice). Toured wine country with my girls. Road tripped from Arizona to Georgia. Helped capture my best friend’s wedding. Moved to Los Angeles. Worked with celebrities. Participated in my first editorial. Oversaw my first editorial. Flew to DC for an amazing corporate opportunity. Photographed amazing weddings. Was featured in a magazine. My Photographs were featured on NBC and Discovery Channel. Almost destroyed Seattle’s nightlife. Explored Los Angeles with my family. Made amazing friends. Almost died in Alaska. Changed my business. Made amazing contacts.
It has been another incredible year. Full of changes, new beginnings and lots of cupcakes. I started my 2011 in India capturing some of my best images to date and ended it with good friends (and bottles of alcohol) in my new city of Los Angeles.
I could really write a HUGE post on all the things that have happened to me this year, but you are going to have to take my word for it. It was an amazing year and I can’t wait to see what 2012 will bring me.
Here are some of my favorite images of 2011 that come to mind.

I am excited for 2012.

It only takes me leaving a city to have all my friends want to visit. Next time, I am going to lie and pretend I am moving so I can have people visit me in L.A. Deborah and Justin came down for a quick getaway in San Francisco. Unfortunately, Deborah got sick during the trip, but we made her chug Dayquil and she became a champ. No, we literally made her chug the bottle as you will see in the pictures below. I also loved how one night we deemed ourselves too tired to go out, but ended up going to Safeway and cooking an extravagant pasta dinner with a Pizooki desert at midnight. It was filled with great awesome times and awesome food. It also made me realize how much I had actually gotten to know San Francisco in my two-ish years there.
Also, I want Ramen now.

To say that Susan + Andrew make each other smile is an understatement. It was all the little things I noticed. The way they grab each other’s hand while they walk, the way he covers her from the cold, the way she looks up at him and feels at home. Before I began the arduous process of moving to LA (which, in fact, will take about a month) I had the opportunity to grab Susan and Andrew’s engagement pictures at Fort Point in San Francisco.
They asked for recommendations on locations in the city since they live further South and I immediately thought of Fort Point (mostly because Kiernan and Jenny rocked it there as well). It was a little cold and windy that afternoon, but that did not stop us from having a blast and getting some rockin’ pictures!
Susan and Andrew are getting married in August in Los Altos and I’m thrilled to be a part of their wedding!
