I photographed a wedding in India. I blacked out in Vegas (twice). Toured wine country with my girls. Road tripped from Arizona to Georgia. Helped capture my best friend’s wedding. Moved to Los Angeles. Worked with celebrities. Participated in my first editorial. Oversaw my first editorial. Flew to DC for an amazing corporate opportunity. Photographed amazing weddings. Was featured in a magazine. My Photographs were featured on NBC and Discovery Channel. Almost destroyed Seattle’s nightlife. Explored Los Angeles with my family. Made amazing friends. Almost died in Alaska. Changed my business. Made amazing contacts.
It has been another incredible year. Full of changes, new beginnings and lots of cupcakes. I started my 2011 in India capturing some of my best images to date and ended it with good friends (and bottles of alcohol) in my new city of Los Angeles.
I could really write a HUGE post on all the things that have happened to me this year, but you are going to have to take my word for it. It was an amazing year and I can’t wait to see what 2012 will bring me.
Here are some of my favorite images of 2011 that come to mind.
The last week spent in Seattle has been like every other time I go back to visit my old city; AMAZING. (I am making a video, it should be sweet)
Mark my words, one day I will move back to the Pacific Northwest.
Coincidently, Katherine and Greg were in town. If you don’t remember who they are, they tried to kill me once in [Alaska]. They invited Brian and I over to her family’s house on Whidby Island for a pre-pre-pre Thanksgiving Epic Feast.
Good food. Good stories. Good drinks. Good Friends.
To this day, Deborah and Justin’s wedding, is probably at the top of my list of funnest weddings I have ever been too. Luckily, I went as a guest, and brought zero cameras to the event and it was wonderful. They had an incredible cover band, amazing food, cupcakes, a barman that tried to kill us with alcohol, fireworks and a second dinner! It had been so long since I attended a wedding and had nothing to worry about.
The day before the wedding, though, Deborah asked me if I could photograph their traditional tea ceremony.
Um. Of Course.
Deborah and I met one amazing day our freshman year in college and since then we have amassed an incredible collection of stories together. I will also never forget the incredible trip, the three of us took to China for her brother’s wedding. Her ceremony was just another story in our long book and it brought back memories of our trip to China.
Except there was no Sprinkles Ice Cream (inside joke).
I love these two and I felt pretty awesome to have captured some great images for them.

I am currently obsessed with this song. It was pretty much on repeat the 300 million hours it took to get to India and back. It is one of those songs that remind you how much power lyrics have. It was released a year ago, but haven’t fully appreciated till now. Actually, yesterday as I was running the hills of my hometown, I stopped and watched the sunset as I listened to this song. Amazing.
It makes me miss my old hood so much. No wonder I contemplate on moving back all the time. I never ever will regret moving there after high school. Because as Macklemore so truthfully puts it:
The skyline is etched in my veins
You can never put that out, no matter how hard it rains.
Northwest, making you feel the vibe

To all my friends in Seattle. Help to get me more clients in the Northwest so I can visit ALL THE TIME!! Go!
